The TITAN SMT 996 flap disc has ceramic grain treated with a multibond lubricant. Get aggressive grinding for most demanding applications on stainless steel with this flap disc. It effectively grinds welds, contoured surfaces, and edges at a high level of aggression while maintaining stable grinding temperatures. The TITAN SMT 996 flap disc is ideal for high-pressure applications and high-powered grinders. The largest advantage of TITAN flap discs is the longevity compared to the standard SMT. Longer use means less disc changes and more production time. The unique design of the trimmable disc allows the user to utilize the entirety of the flaps, giving greater service life. With trimmable backing, the user can simply trim the edge back and easily access the untouched new abrasive. The TITAN is also quick and easy to change. The discs include a built-in 5/8"-11 threaded arbor for quick and easy mounting. No tools needed. It even has the ability to run cooler, due to its unique fan shape. The firm plastic backing plate allows for more aggression when needed.
