KLINGSPOR's Abrasive Sanding Star is made of an extremely flexible, Egyptian cotton cloth-backing, and covered with aluminum oxide and a special dry lubricant. This special material is excellent for highly contoured or profiled wood or metal parts. Designed to be a complete flutter sheet on an arbor, sanding stars will be the hidden gem in your abrasive arsenal. LS 312 products are composed of aluminum oxide, a semi-open coat, and resin bonded with a special top coating to aid in cooling and to resist loading. The very flexible, J-Flex cloth backing is for severely contoured workpieces. LS 312 is best suited for polishing stainless steel and high alloy steels, other ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals.
