Job summary

Responsibilities will include processing bi-weekly payroll with timeliness and accuracy.

Ensure adherence to applicable local, state and federal requirements. Understanding

and drive the connectivity to all financial requirements to ensure accurate extractions,

posting, treatment and reporting of all payroll transactions. Other responsibilities will

included auditing, entering and posting expense reports and other invoices for payment,

reconciling bank statements and GL accounts monthly, preparing month end reports and

journal entries as needed.

 

Summary of essential job functions

Primary duties are processing hourly and salary bi-weekly payroll, including incentives,

bonuses and monthly commission payroll using ADP Work Force Now. Processes

special payrolls and manual checks as needed. Reconciles employee time reports.

Make employee payroll changes as necessary. Maintains and updates employees

Paid-Time Off (PTO) records into payroll as required. Administer all regulatory pay

requirements as necessary such as garnishments, tax levies, support orders and other

required payroll deductions. Prepare reports and documentation for 401K audit annually.

Process weekly expense reports and train new employees on the accepted processing

guidelines. Prepare personal mileage calculation for sales force annually and as needed

throughout the year. Maintain compliance for local, state and federal tax and license

requirements. Assist with maintaining accurate records for all company assets. Assist

and backup the processing of invoices for payment in accounts payable. Reconciling

bank deposits and statements, prepare month end reports and journal entries.

 

Minimum requirements

Education or Basic Knowledge: Associate degree in accounting

Experience: 2 years’ experience processing payroll. Experience with ADP Workforce

Abilities required

Experience in Excel, and 10 key a must.

Must be a team player with the ability to work independently

Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential

information

Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks and high

volume of work on a deadline

Possess strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills
