The Sponge Square Pads were specifically developed to leave a soft scratch when profile sanding by hand. It's an ideal abrasive for roughening and finish grinding on surfaces and contours. They come with a foam backing to distribute the pressure evenly across the entire contact surface. This makes it possible to process workpieces that have a thin coating without running the risk of sanding through the material. This spongy foam roll has been perforated for a quick dispersion of 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" square pads. Sponge box square pads are ideal for every finishing department. Effective and resilient pads for workshops, construction sites, and on the go. PL 35 is silicon carbide grain applied with semi-open coating and glued on B-weight paper backing. Top-coated with zinc stearate dry lubricant, this prohibits loading for extended life. The semi-open coating ensures that chipping is cleanly removed from the surface. It also delivers exceptional grinding performance at only moderate stock removal. PL 35 abrasives are suitable for sanding contoured surfaces or flat surfaces by hand, with blocks, or on vibrating sanders. It is ideal for sanding primer, paint, metal, and rust. In woodworking, it is suitable for sanding sealer, wash coats, softwoods and hardwoods, and between coats of furniture finishes.
