KLINGSPOR Abrasives is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for Territory Coverage.

Job summary

Open Territory Sales Representatives interact with outside sales and other team members to grow existing customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas in areas where an outside sales rep is absent. Duties of an inside sales representative include contacting existing clients, explaining how a product works, attending sales meetings, testing products and negotiating prices.

Summary of essential job functions

1) Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.

2) Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.

3) Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.

4) Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.

5) Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.

6) Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items.

7) Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.

8) Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.

9) Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items.

10) Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.

11) Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint.

12) Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples.

13) Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes, and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals.

14) Setup and maintain customer files.

15) Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

16) Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.

Minimum requirements

High School diploma but 4 degree from college or university preferred. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, efficient computer skills, and basic knowledge of KLINGSPOR’s products.

Abilities required

Excellent selling skills, Public Speaking and Presentation skills, Use of enterprise software applications, Contact Management software, MS Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.

KLINGSPOR offers thorough systems and product training during the onboarding process.

Standard work hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.

Salary Range: $44,000.00 To 50,000.00 Annually
