The TITAN SMT 950 T-XL flap disc is KLINGSPOR's longest lasting flap disc. With alumina zirconia grain and 20% more flaps than other TITAN flap discs, it produces a high level of aggression applicable for weld seam work, edge work, and edge beveling. It has universal use on metal and steels, and is particularly effective on stainless steel and high alloy stainless steel. The TITAN SMT 950 Jumbo is best suited for use on high powered grinders. The largest advantage of TITAN flap discs is the longevity compared to the standard SMT. The unique design of the trimmable disc allows the user to utilize the entirety of the flaps, giving much longer life. The hard-to-reach middle section of the flaps often go unused, and with trimmable backing, the user can simply trim the edge back and easily access the untouched new abrasive. Longer use means less disc changes and more production time. TITAN flap discs are also quick and easy to change. Each disc includes a built-in 5/8"-11 threaded arbor for quick and easy mounting. No tools needed! They are even able to run cooler, due to their unique fan shape, which gives the discs more life. The firm plastic backing plate allows for more aggression when needed.
