Non-woven Buff & Blend (NWBB) material is commonly used for blending material like corner welds; it will not leave as bright of a finish but will hold up longer in blending applications. As our softest non-woven material, it offers a light scratch on metal, and is only intended to blend worked down metal pieces. NWBB non-woven abrasives are most suited for pre-polishing. Non-woven abrasives consist of random nylon fibers bonded together into an open web, and impregnated with resin and abrasive grit. Advantages of non-woven abrasives include a consistent finish, long service life, cool cutting, and soft, yet fast working action. They are waterproof; can be used wet or dry, and easily rinsed out. Coolants, lubricants, and cleaning agents can also be used with a non-woven. With its ability to reduce loading, non-woven abrasives are excellent for paint or coating removal.
