When using a sanding disc on a machine, you always need a backing pad. A backing pad ensures stability, optimum distribution of pressure, and safety when working. Our Kling-on backing pads feature small hooks attached to the face of the pad to connect with the soft side of a hook-and-loop style disc. Kling-on backing pads provide for a host of advantages over PSA backing pads: They allow for quick and easy changes, tear resistance, allow the abrasive disc to run cooler, and more. This backing pad replaces OEM (original equipment manufacturer) backing pads for orbital sanders that require a 5/16-24 threaded rod. Standard hook size.
